A simple and delicious overnight French toast that transforms breakfast into a delightful morning experience.

  • 1 loaf of bread (preferably brioche or challah)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Butter (for greasing the baking dish)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Grease the baking dish with butter to prevent sticking.
  2. Slice the bread into thick slices and arrange them snugly in the greased dish.
  3. Whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until creamy.
  4. Soak the bread slices in the egg mixture, pressing down gently to absorb.
  5. Refrigerate covered overnight for flavor infusion.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup.

Notes
