A warm, comforting banana bread recipe that’s soft, sweet, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3 overripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth, then mix in the melted butter.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Mix in the sugar, followed by the beaten egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Fold in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes.
  7. Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store leftover banana bread at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
