  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 cup cherry filling (canned or homemade)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sugar (for sprinkling)
  • Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until thin, then cut into 4-inch squares.
  3. Place a tablespoon of cherry filling in the center of each square.
  4. Fold the pastry to form a triangle, sealing edges with a fork.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  6. Arrange the turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.
