Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups gluten-free flour blend
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Coarse sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and honey (or sugar). Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the gluten-free flour blend, salt, and garlic powder (if using).
  3. Mix wet and dry ingredients: Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the dry ingredients. Stir until well combined.
  4. Add fresh herbs: Add chopped fresh herbs and mix again until evenly incorporated.
  5. Shape the dough: Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet. Spread it out and create dimples with your fingers.
  6. Let it rise: Let the dough rise for 30-45 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Prepare for baking: Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  8. Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
