  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup fat-free Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Prepare the dry ingredients by combining flour and salt in a separate bowl.
  3. Combine wet ingredients by adding yogurt and olive oil to the yeast mixture; stir to combine.
  4. Bring it together by gradually mixing the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  6. Let it rise in a greased bowl covered, in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Shape the dough into a loaf, place it in a greased loaf pan.
  9. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  11. Cool before slicing.
