A delightful banana bread featuring ripe bananas and chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the mashed bananas with the melted butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and pinch of salt.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  5. Stir in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store banana bread at room temperature for 3-4 days or freeze individual slices for longer storage.
